Current Bio
Vince Andrews is an accomplished legal professional, educator, and community activist whose career bridges nonprofit governance, cultural preservation, and creative publishing. With over two decades of leadership experience, he has become a respected voice in organizational development and policy innovation across the LGBTQ+ and leather communities.Holding a master's degree in legal studies with a graduate concentration in policy and management, along with certification as a mediator, Vince applies his legal expertise to strengthen community organizations through compliance, transparency, and responsible governance. His work has guided numerous nonprofit and fraternal groups throughout North America in drafting bylaws, building equitable policies, and modernizing their internal structures to ensure long-term sustainability.Vince's activism began as a boy, mentored by a butch leatherdyke, Sir Butch. Daddy Todd of KCLU later collared him, eventually becoming a ward to Master Theseus, until he was released to begin his focus on switching and dominance. Organizationally, he co-founded Wichita Leather Pride and W.O.O.L.F. in 2002—organizations that expanded visibility for members of the community. In 2003, he made history as the first Kansas boy Leather Titleholder, before moving on to lead and revitalize the KC boys of Leather as President. His leadership trajectory culminated in becoming the youngest President of NLA-International, one of the leather community's oldest and most respected nonprofit organizations. During his presidency, Vince implemented widespread reforms in governance and policy, rebuilding the membership infrastructure and creating new models for sustainable and inclusive growth.Beyond administration, Vince's dedication to education and preservation has defined much of his later work. As an educator and presenter, he has led workshops and lectures on nonprofit formation, organizational restructuring, while also addressing broader cultural topics, including BDSM history, ethics, and social identity. His passion for preservation has fueled his ongoing efforts to digitize and archive historical LGBTQ+ periodicals, ensuring that the legacy of leather and queer activism remains accessible to future generations. An internationally published author and artist, Vince has written several cornerstone works in the fields of sexuality and culture, including The Leatherboy Handbook, The Leather & BDSM Handbook. His writing combines academic insight with cultural empathy, bridging legal analysis and personal experience to capture the evolving landscape of alternative communities. His fictional works include the series To Walk with Strangers I & II, a series that explores the darker side of cruising.Today, as Co-Owner of Adynaton Publishing, Vince continues to advance his mission of amplifying diverse voices within kink, sexuality, and identity-based literature. Through his publishing work, he provides mentorship to emerging authors, reinvests royalties in community publishing projects, and develops accessible platforms for underrepresented writers. His ongoing service as an advisor to many community organizations reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership through knowledge and integrity. Whether shaping policy, restoring archives, or guiding new generations of activists, Vince remains devoted to building a stronger, more innovative, and more inclusive community through law, education, and creative expression. Vince has had one ward, Tyesha Best, and currently has one ongoing mentee, Rylee Spire, who is his current reflection. He has never permanently collared any boy/boi, with only two perspectives under consideration who did not work out.
